Date: September 16, 2025
Venue: Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja
The Society for Peace and Capacity Building (SPCB) had a fruitful meeting with the representative of the Inspector General of Police (POCACOV – Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices) at the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja.
The meeting focused on the proposed Regional Peace Sensitivity and Nigeria Global Webinar Initiative 2025/2026, an effort designed to promote peacebuilding, civic responsibility, youth engagement, and community resilience across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
This initiative seeks to strengthen community–police trust, enhance conflict sensitivity, and foster national unity through regional sensitization programmes and a global webinar series connecting Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.
The collaboration reflects the shared vision of SPCB and the Nigeria Police Force, through POCACOV, to promote non-combative policing approaches, public trust, and sustainable peace and security across the nation.
The Society for Peace and Capacity Building remains dedicated to working with key institutions, community leaders, and youth networks to build a more peaceful and inclusive Nigeria.
